The Equine Health Forum offers three days of discussions, exchanges, and Q&A sessions focused on the health and well-being of our horses. It’s the perfect opportunity to talk with professionals from the horse and equestrian world and learn more about nutrition, health, and proper care for our equine companions.

Organized by the Regional Equestrian Committee of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, in partnership with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Equine Council and with the support of the Fonds Éperon, a forum on workplace well-being in the equine sector will feature three round-table discussions, each shedding light on a different aspect of well-being at work. These sessions will bring together institutions, experts, and socio-professional representatives from breeding, racing, and equestrian activities sectors particularly concerned by this issue, which is becoming a major concern in the world of work. Speakers will present data, analyses, and proposals, and engage in discussion and debate.
2:20 PM – Workplace accidents and physical strain in the equine sector: understanding, preventing, and taking action.
This round table will bring together experts including an ergonomist from the FFE’s APSPM network (psychological support and mental preparation network), representatives from the MSA, and socio-professional stakeholders.
3:00 PM – Well-being at work: a driver of attractiveness for the equine sector?
Participants will include representatives from Équi-Ressources and the Observatory of Jobs, Employment and Training in the Equine Sector (OMEFFE), the EquuRES label, the National Federation of Horse Advisory Councils (FNCC), Charlène LOURD – PhD in education and training sciences, who has conducted research on the topic, employee and employer representatives from the sector, and the Regional Agency for the Improvement of Working Conditions (ARACT).
They will discuss workplace well-being, staff turnover, working conditions, employee aspirations, and the sector’s prospects for increasing its attractiveness.
4:00 PM – Continuing training: a key challenge for the equine sector.
This final round table of the day will bring together representatives from OCAPIAT and VIVEA, training funding bodies (OPCOs) for continuing education in the equine sector, the French Equestrian Federation, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Equestrian Committee, AFASEC, as well as employee and employer representatives from the industry.
