As the first leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ 2026-2027 is about to kick off in Oslo, the Jumping International de Bordeaux is preparing its return to the Parc des Expositions for four days of top-class sport and equestrian passion from 4 to 7 February 2027. At the heart of the event, the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ remains, more than ever, the very essence of Bordeaux. However, this new edition will also mark the step-up of dressage with the CDI competition moving up to 5* level, the thirteenth Final of the Driving World Cup, a Horse Fair bringing together 230 exhibitors, and a new equestrian production called ‘Empreinte’ and led by artist Lorenzo.

Some of the finest chapters in the history of show jumping have been written in Bordeaux. For almost half a century, the greatest riders have added their names to the winner list of its World Cup Grand Prix, often following jump-offs that have gone down in history.
Bordeaux holds as special place in the calendar – and the heart – of the some of the world’s greatest riders, especially the recently crowned world champion in Aachen last August, Steve Guerdat. The Swiss is now the only rider to have won all four major individual titles: Olympic champion, European champion, World champion and three-time World Cup winner. Steve Guardat, undoubtably one of the public’s darlings, knows Bordeaux well, having triumphed there in 2020 and 2024. It is a leg of the World Cup that he particularly enjoys: “I love Bordeaux and I love practically all the shows in France because it’s a country of horses, and the people are horse people. The audiences are enthusiasts, and the atmosphere is brilliant. And Bordeaux, with all its history, is one of the flagship legs of the World Cup. It’s a show that I enjoy immensely.”
Last February, another chapter in the history of Bordeaux was written: Jessica Burke, riding Good Star du Bary, became the first woman to win the Bordeaux World Cup Grand Prix since the class was first held in 1978. A victory that brought down the male stronghold that this Bordeaux World Cup Grand Prix had been until then.
As always, the sporting stakes will be high. As the penultimate round of the Western European League ahead of the final in Gothenburg, from 24 to 28 March, Bordeaux will offer one of the very last opportunities to secure the precious points needed to qualify.
This year’s final will have a very special flavour: the Gothenburg Horse Show will be celebrating its 50th anniversary and, just as it did for the very first time in 1979, will host the Show Jumping World Cup Final.
Having been successfully introduced into the sporting programme in 2026 with a CDI4*, dressage will reach a new milestone in 2027 with the organisation of a CDI5* competition.
This growth is part of a broader ambition: to make the Jumping International de Bordeaux an ever more comprehensive event, where the major disciplines and various forms of equestrian sport come together at the highest level.
Having won over the Bordeaux public with the Dressage Battle and a first international competition in 2026, dressage is now a fully-fledged part of a sporting programme that already features show jumping, driving and the spectacular Devoucoux Derby.
Another love story is the bond between Bordeaux and the world’s finest drivers. In 2027, the Jumping de Bordeaux will host the final of the FEI Driving World Cup™ for the thirteenth time.
For drivers, Bordeaux always has a special flavour. Here they find a course they know by heart, but above all an audience that ranks among the most enthusiastic on the circuit – one that understands the discipline, cheers on every burst of speed and gets carried away by these modern-day carriage races.
In Bordeaux, the drivers give it their all. And when the world’s finest four-in-hand teams compete for a World Cup title in a venue where the crowd is firmly on their side, the spectacle is rarely anything short of spectacular.

Thursday evening will be dedicated to the show ‘Empreinte’, a new original production by the Jumping International de Bordeaux.
One name alone will be enough to capture the attention of the equestrian audience: Lorenzo. The French artist, world-renowned for his liberty work performances and his mastery of the Hungarian post, will be one of the central figures in a production also featuring other French artists such as Guillaume Mauvais, Mélie Philippot, the Chœur Jeune Académie Vocale d’Aquitaine and the painter Liska Llorca.
Horses, music, singing, painting and movement will come together around a single theme: the mark that each of us leaves behind – in the earth, in our memories, in our emotions or in our works of art. A production conceived as a living performance, designed to take shape and evolve before the audience’s very eyes.
Surrounding the main arena, the Salon du cheval will once again take centre stage at the event. With 230 exhibitors spread across 30,000 m², it will bring together industry professionals, leading brands, equipment suppliers, breeders, riders and enthusiasts over four days.
In 2027, the Jumping International de Bordeaux event is also committing to supporting the Fondation des Femmes, France’s leading foundation for the defence of women’s rights and the fight against violence against women. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Foundation to support its work.
High level sport, entertainment, a plethora of events and the chance to explore the entire equestrian sector – but also generosity: in 2027, Bordeaux intends once again to celebrate the horse in ways that go far beyond sport!

From 4 to 7 February 2027, the Jumping International de Bordeaux will take over the Parc des Expositions for four days combining top-level sport, entertainment and an equestrian experience for the general public. A must-attend event on the international calendar, the festival brings together several disciplines: show jumping with the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™, driving with the final of the FEI Driving World Cup™, indoor cross-country and dressage, which reaches a new milestone this year with a CDI5*.
Beyond the competitions, the Jumping is also experienced as a 360° equestrian event, featuring a grand opening show called ‘Empreinte’ – an original production bringing together Lorenzo and others to explore equestrian arts, music, singing, painting and movement – as well as a Horse Fair with 230 exhibitors, designed for the whole family. Entertainment, demonstrations, amateur and pony competitions round off a rich and accessible programme, bringing visitors as close as possible to horses and their world.

Having been relatively discrete since the start of the competition (11th yesterday in the World Cup Grand Prix), last year’s winner of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ in Bordeaux, Martin Fuchs, magnificently “saved” his weekend by winning the Grand Prix AUDI on Sunday afternoon with assertiveness riding Conner Jei in a thrilling jump-off.

The Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Grand Prix of Bordeaux had long stood as one of the last strongholds on the international circuit never conquered by a female rider. Until tonight… At the peak of her career, then world number one, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum had come very close, finishing second. The rider who made history in Bordeaux on Saturday night, February 7, 2026, was far less high-profile than the German champion had been at the time. Ranked 171st in the world, Ireland’s Jessica Burke (34), a former mathematics teacher, achieved the feat just four months after making her CSI 5* debut in Oslo.

As the Milan-Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics officially opened, the Jumping International de Bordeaux echoed the Olympic spirit by showcasing all three Olympic equestrian disciplines. Dressage, show jumping and eventing came together in Hall 3 of the Parc des Expositions de Bordeaux on this second day of competition.

The first day of the Jumping International de Bordeaux got under way. Show jumpers took to the arena for the warm-up, while the event wrote a new page in its history with the very first dressage competition ever held in Bordeaux, which ended in victory for Australia.
Between two courses, we met Roger-Yves Bost, a major figure in world show jumping and three-time winner of the Grand Prix in Bordeaux since 1990, including two World Cup victories.

National coach Édouard Coupérie promised a strong French team, and he delivered with an impressive selection of ten riders. These include the defending Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ champion, three Olympic champions – including two former individual European champions and three riders competing for a place in the Fort Worth final in April. However, points will be hard to win by in Bordeaux, as the foreign competition will be fierce.

In the end, it was the 178th rider of the world ranking who took France's most beautiful victory at this year's Jumping International de Bordeaux: a triumph in the AUDI Grand Prix, that saw some of the world's best riders’ hopes crushed on a course where every fence posed a potential threat.

Swiss rider Martin Fuchs, needed a few more points to qualify for the final of the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM. He came to Bordeaux to do just that, and his goal was surpassed as he took the win and the 20 points that go with it, allowing him to look forward to the trip to Basel next April, an important event for a Swiss rider, as you can imagine. But the world number five will take home not only valuable points from his first visit to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, but also some truly wonderful memories.

He left the 2024 edition of the Jumping international de Bordeaux with a victory in the AUDI Grand Prix and has now opened the 2025 edition with another victory, again with the same Donatello d'Auge. Julien Épaillard from Normandy has winning in his blood. He proved it once again in the 'big' class of this first day of show jumping, the Prix FFE Generali.

The Olympic flame went out in Paris, but in Bordeaux, the love of equestrian sport burns on forever. The podium at the FEI Longines 2024 World Cup Grand Prix in Bordeaux was taken by two future medallists from Versailles, Steve Guerdat (individual silver) and Harry Charles (team gold). How many of the twelve Olympic medallists from August will be in Bordeaux next February? And how many of the eventing medallists? There will certainly be many, because great sportsmen and women love Bordeaux.

No, it's not revenge for yesterday’s relatively disappointing performance in the World Cup with Dubaï de Cèdre (8 faults), as Julien Epaillard will explain. Nevertheless, his victory with his faithful Donatello d'Auge in the AUDI Grand Prix is one hell of a revenge for the French rugby team's defeat by Ireland on Friday as France's number one rider single-handedly beat two Irish riders on Sunday afternoon, and it felt good.

Swiss rider Steve Guerdat loves these atmospheres, like the one in Bordeaux, where the public "carries" the sport and the athletes to victory. Four years after winning this FEI Longines World Cup Grand Prix with the chestnut Victorio Des Frotards, the Swiss did it again on Saturday evening with his grey mare Is-Minka. Also spurred on by these enthusiastic spectators, France’s Jeanne Sadran put in the best performance of her very young career with her stallion Dexter de Kerglenn, one second and four tenths away from becoming the first woman to win this class, which no woman has won since 1978!

The line-up of riders competing at the Jumping International de Bordeaux never disappoints! This year is no exception to the tradition, with Olympic medallists and preselected riders, FEI Longines World Cup contenders - and former winners - championship medallists and many more in the line-up from 1 to 4 February. The same goes for indoor cross-country: Olympic champions and preselected riders. As far as the drivers are concerned, it goes without saying that the best will be there, as Bordeaux is the venue for the World Cup final.
