Pre-event favorite Karim Laghouag, partnered with Dream de Vievre, came close to securing a sixth victory in Bordeaux. Despite posting the fastest time, the French rider saw his hopes disappear at the paddock drop fence, where a decisive fault cost him a place on the podium.

This mistake paved the way for local rider Benjamin Massie, who once again demonstrated his outstanding mastery of the Bordeaux arena.

Already victorious in 2024, the rider from Nouvelle-Aquitaine claimed another win with Cupidon du Cardonne, securing a second consecutive victory in this indoor cross and further etching his name into the history of the event.

This victory capped off a perfect day for the French riders, with four French wins across the four international classes of the day. A wave of momentum that the Bordeaux crowd hopes will continue this evening on the World Cup arena : and beyond, toward the next major international events.
