« Sans pied, pas de cheval » ! Ce vieil adage montre à quel point le rôle du maréchal-ferrant est important dans la pratique de l’équitation moderne. A l’occasion du Jumping de Bordeaux, l’UFM (Union Française des Maréchaux-ferrants) organise le Championnat d’Europe de Maréchalerie du 5 au 7 février dans le Hall 4 du Parc des Expositions de Bordeaux-Lac. Les meilleurs représentants européens de cet art essentiel seront présents pendant les 3 jours du concours, s’affrontant à travers une série d’épreuves jugeant de leur rapidité, précision, technicité et maîtrise de soi. A ne pas manquer : l’épreuve de ferrage du vendredi 5 février, particulièrement impressionnante !
